About

Built for owners who are tired of guessing.

Ark & Air manages, charters, and provisions yachts across South Florida and beyond. The company exists because the standard model rewards opacity — and because the 50' to 70' segment, where most vessels have no permanent crew, is barely served at all.

Why we exist

The problem is structural, not personal

Most yacht management in South Florida is honest work sold inside a bad structure. The company that schedules your service also marks up the parts, collects vendor rebates you never see, and often brokers the boat when you give up. Nothing about it is illegal. All of it makes your costs unknowable.

Owners respond by hiring around it: a captain here, a detailer there, a friend who manages from shore. That works until it does not — because nobody is keeping records, and no single person is accountable for the vessel's condition.

Ark & Air takes the opposite position. We charge a published management fee, pass every cost through untouched, and document each visit in a portal the owner controls. If the work is good, we should be able to show you exactly what it cost.

Where we operate

South Florida · Bahamas · Beyond

Home waters run from Lake Worth Inlet through Miami and the Florida Keys, with regular runs to the Bahamas. Vessels from 50 to 150 feet, power and sail.

The name

Ark is the sea business. Air is the aviation management arm that follows the same principles — published fees, disclosed costs, documented work — once the yacht side is established.

Principles

Four commitments we will put in the contract

Published fees

Our management rates are on the website. If a competitor will not tell you their fee until after the survey, you already know why.

Costs at cost

Vendor and parts invoices pass through untouched, attached to the job they paid for. We make money on management, not on your impellers.

Disclosed incentives

Any rebate, volume discount, or referral fee we receive is disclosed and credited to the owner.

No brokerage conflict

We do not list vessels we manage for sale. We should never have a financial reason to want you out of your boat.

How the team is built

Four functions, one accountable captain

Port captains

Licensed captains who own the vessel relationship: the schedule, the quality check, the vendor supervision, and the invoice trail. One name, reachable directly.

Technical & compliance

Systems and preventive maintenance planning, haul-out and refit oversight, and USCG and OSHA readiness with documented drills and logs.

Charter & guest services

Central-agent representation, contracts and deposits, guest vetting, and per-charter reconciliation.

Concierge & events

Transfers, chefs, dining, entertainment, sporting rentals, and full event production.
